How It Works: Artists or record labels fill out the sign-up form at www.soundloadmusic.com. Once the account is created you will upload your MP3 tracks and then design your custom SoundLoad Cards. The front of the card will have your album artwork and will instruct fans to redeem their SoundLoad card at your website or MySpace page. When they take the card home, they will go to your website and click on an icon that says “Redeem your SoundLoad Card here”. The consumer is then directed to a generic redemption page. Here they will scratch off and enter in the pin number (found on the back of the card) along with a few pieces of information, such as their e-mail address and zip code. This way the artist/label is building a data base of valuable information on their fans, and this information can be viewed at anytime by logging into your SoundLoad Account. Once the redemption page is complete, the material attached to that card is then instantly downloaded to their computer. Consumers are then free to do whatever they want with the material. They can burn a CD, use as a ringtone, or download it to their MP3 player.
