Influences
This band was created to give an original tribute to the great progressive rock influences of our time including King Crimson, Yes, Rush and Genesis.
The recordings were also inspired by the great works of today's greatest symphonic prog bands including Izz, Glass Hammer and The Flower Kings.
By no means does Sound of Six put themselves in the class of any of the artists listed above. SOS music is simply an interpretation of what prog rock means to each member of the band. We hope you enjoy the music as much as we enjoyed making it!

SOUND OF SIX Industrial Monsters (9:15) Constant Night (10:00) Icepick (23:14)
Gripping instrumentation, thought-provoking lyrics, and sizeable arrangements are the meat and potatoes of this independently released debut effort by Sound of Six.
A symphonic progressive rock album capable of impressing seasoned fans of the genre and throwing curious young listeners into a time spin towards the glory days of 70’s art rock indulgences, Sound of Six is a pure prog recording. Thick layers of trademark sounds including double drumming, dual guitars, multiple synths and varied voices assemble to create an art rock arsenal.
Sound of Six combines lyrical smarts with bold arrangements reminiscent of forefathers Yes, Rush or Genesis and similar to current keepers of the flame like Izz, Glass Hammer or Flower Kings, all while creating a sound of their own that will appeal to straight rock, symphonic prog and instrumental fans alike.
