   Sound On The Sound's Blurbs
About me:

Sound on the Sound is a Seattle Music Blog, focusing on Northwest, National and International releases and acts. While we're a "Seattle Music Blog," what we're really interested in is music that makes the hair on our neck stand up on end, wherever it might be created. That being said, we are head over heels in love with the Seattle music scene and the bands who call it home. A lot of the best music being made today is created right here, in our hometown of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. And we're blessed to be a part of one of the most vibrant live music scenes in the country.

The site is run and was designed by Seattle Native's Josh and Abbey. We have been joined in the insanity by our dear friend Sandeep (myspacer stinky)as a site author, who also waxes poetic on his favorite music... that of the metal variety.

We've all got day jobs, but we're driven mad by our love of music. Our goal is to expose ourselves and others to all the great music out there, espescially that which exists beyond ClearChannel and MTV.

We go to as many shows as humanly and fiscally possible, which in a great scene like Seattle, can equate to every night of the week.

If you like our photos and want to see thousands more, venture over to Our Flickr Page
Who I'd like to meet:
Our wonderful readers, Others driven mad by music and bands! bands! bands!
Would you like to have us review your album before it’s general release? We'd love to take a listen. Do you want us to highlight an upcoming show or new tunes on the site? We will happily do so. Since we're only a couple folks, the review might not be instantaneous. Also, we love to post in relation to upcoming shows in the PNW or album releases. Sometimes though, we're so crazy about a band we just can't wait...then reviews are posted as fast as our little fingers can type. Basically, you never know until you contact us or send something in.
psst...sending us a friend request is neither contacting us nor sending something in...e-mail us or send us a message and we'll go from there. thanks!!

Festival - Summer Meltdown 8

Jul 19 2008 10:17 AM

Hey Friends, it's me, Flowmotion & the Meltdown Festival.

Just wanted to remind everyone, the festival is coming up in about three weeks or so and tickets are about to go up in price on July 23rd. Now is the time to get your tickets. 30+ bands on three stages, camping on 40 acres next to the river and epic views of glacier capped Whitehorse Mountain from the stage. It's about 75 minutes north of Seattle in Darrington WA. This is going to be one of the best years yet, so please tell all your friends and spread the word about the tickets going up next week. Visit the official site by clicking on the graphic below to get all the details.

Thanks for the add! High Soundz is soon to be a Music Co-Op (more details in the next issue). If you're a band/musician feel free to ask for more details now (e-mail us) as our Music Co-Op is for bands that are sick of being left out of local press.
High Soundz Magazine is a free music industry resource guide currently at a bunch of locations in Seattle (see list at  www. highsoundz. net).
But, you can save paper and get a digital copy (Web Edition) right now.
