About me: Sound on the Sound is a Seattle Music Blog, focusing on Northwest, National and International releases and acts. While we're a "Seattle Music Blog," what we're really interested in is music that makes the hair on our neck stand up on end, wherever it might be created. That being said, we are head over heels in love with the Seattle music scene and the bands who call it home. A lot of the best music being made today is created right here, in our hometown of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. And we're blessed to be a part of one of the most vibrant live music scenes in the country.
The site is run and was designed by Seattle Native's Josh and Abbey. We have been joined in the insanity by our dear friend Noah Sanders, who also shares his unique perspective on the unmissable shows and songs of the moment.
We've all got day jobs, but we're driven mad by our love of music. Our goal is to expose ourselves and others to all the great music out there, espescially that which exists beyond ClearChannel and MTV.
We go to as many shows as humanly and fiscally possible, which in a great scene like Seattle, can equate to every night of the week.

Who I'd like to meet: Our wonderful readers, Others driven mad by music and bands! bands! bands!
Would you like to have us review your album before it’s general release? We'd love to take a listen. Do you want us to highlight an upcoming show or new tunes on the site? We will do our best to do so. Since we're only a couple folks, and we are sent upwards of 5 CDs a day, the review might not be instantaneous or it might not happen at all. We wish we could review everything that is sent our way, but it's proved to be an impossible task. That said, we love to post in relation to upcoming shows in the PNW or album releases. Sometimes though, we're so crazy about a band we just can't wait...then reviews are posted as fast as our little fingers can type. Basically, you never know until you contact us or send something in.
psst...sending us a friend request is neither contacting us nor sending something in...e-mail us or send us a message and we'll go from there. thanks!!
pssst x 2....Sadly, we can't listen to tunes by everyone who sends us friend requests. (Nor is Myspace a great way to get a feel for a band...in our opinion.) So, if you'd like us to listen to your band or album in earnest, please send us a copy for reviewing to the submissions address on Sound on the Sound. We look forward to listening!
Abbey and Josh! Hoping to see you at one of our shows. We are in
the process of booking some new ones now and we'll keep in touch and
make sure to put you on the guest list!
