Excerpt from "Music Box" dream
Blending a unique sensitivity with finely crafted tones, this music creates adventures in sound that can be captivating, beautiful and deeply mysterious at times. In 2005 Thomas Mangano founded the Mechanical Man Music company, which produces unique and unusual music for the commercial music markets including: Television, Radio and Film. Together, with his business partner and lifelong companion Kathleen Takami, the company supports a vision of ethnic and environmental diversity. "Our music is first an art of collaboration. We draw on many influences and actively seek out multi-cultural artistic exchange. We tend to run tightly with organizations that support environmental balance too. It is our deep desire that our music finds its way into those projects that support and promote the preservation of our most beautiful and fragile world. My Space has been a great tool for globally connecting to other musicians and artists who share this interest. This has been an exciting adventure for me personally and for our music company" Instruments used by Thomas that can be heard in Mechanical Man Music are: Clarinet, Synthesizers, Acoustic Bass and Guitars. Thomas is also the founding member of New York's Boutcher- Mangano Jazz Trio which has been performing jazz and educating in the community since 2003. Currently, Thomas and Kathleen work and play house in the rural setting of North Fork, Long Island where they raise 3 cats and cultivate the local wildlife.
