Ola!
Due to an error, Sleepmode will be going out of production. Most alarm clocks now have "snooze" buttons and there are new special fans in computers to make sure they never go to sleep.
Due to this and also several breakdowns, a leakage and a heavy dependence on celebral stimulants Sleepmode will be shutting down on Friday 19th December 8.03pm at Nice n Sleazys. Normal service will be resumed as and when the last component perishes in a puddle of his own vomit and all instruments are broken.
Please come and dance with us one last time. And thankyou for all the support, etc, etc
Face the Future
Sleepmode
Ground shattering 1st release on Doppelganger Records by Galaxian. 7 tracks of sublime electro inspiration. Dark atmospherics, menacing basslines and creeping grooves combine to make this a future classic.
We are very excited to announce our first 'real world' photograph exhibition at the 13th Note in Glasgow. To launch this exhibition, we are putting on a show on the opening night - the 6th July.
Tickets are £4 and all profits of the gig will be given to Yorkhill Childrens Foundation.
You can also bring along a mixed cd which you can swap with someone else. Please include a tracklist and have fun with the cover. This is a great opportunity to promote all the bands you love (or your own band) and show your creative side. Please come along, get some new music & badges, view photos, enjoy amazing bands & say hello. :)
Having released a couple of tuneful albums with theAudiologist and Soni Jimm since my last LP, "Fear of Mathematics", Section 27 Netlabel brings you "Wrpdata”, containing 14 tracks full of chunky, breathy and some would even say pleasantly broken breaks, some good-time-mind-fuck glitch, a few (thankfully blissful) orchestrated mixes featuring the talents of Pinklogik and theAudiologist (also acting as co-producer on this release) respectively, and ends sweetly with some beautiful spoken word poetry by the lovely aussie Cindel Waddington.
A delight on the sensory organs from start to finish, "Wrpdata" is available now for *free* download. Licensed by Creative Commons.
face the future is one of the best songs ever written....no joke, It sends me in a trance with the soul of the banshee dancing under the moonlight sky with the goblins and witches.........can sleepmode send me the mp3 of this ?
Hey guys, or whoever looks at this page next. Just thinking that after the effort put into making our album we should at least get the tracks up on myspace. There may still be 1 fan who wants to hear what we did! LOL.
Wintermute - Leeds finest math pop come to Glasgow to celebrate the release of their debut album on Big Scary Monsters.
My Cousin I Bid You Farewell - One of the most promosing band in Glasgow at the moment. Their new full band line-up shades hints of Arcade Fire…but far better.
This Silent Forest – Glasgow-based songwriter Graeme MacDonald now with full band. Expect big things…
