We love music! Can you organise a fundraising gig on our behalf? Or simply attend a gig that is being organised for, or by us!
You may think it strange that a charity for deaf children should be so interested in music. In fact, music can play a really important part in the education of deaf children, with rythmn, for example, helping with speech development. And there have been quite a few accomplished deaf musicians and composers - not to mention those who became deaf after a lifetime of playing loud music. Which reminds us - don't get too close to the speakers!
Hakkımda: Sound Seekers is an international development charity (registered in the UK 1013870) that works to help deaf children, and those who are hard of hearing, in the poorest countries of the world. We have a fleet of mobile clinics that travel to remote and isolated villages in order to check children's hearing, provide treatment for ear disease, and help deaf children secure the support they need.
