George Christie is a producer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Born from a diverse background in music: ‘Single of the week’ in Melody Maker and Record Collector to a record and album production deal with American label Road Runner Records and London’s More Protein. He has laid tracks with producers from Jim Abbiss (Massive Attack, DJ Shadow) to Phil Brown (Bob Marley, Talk Talk) and Ray Shulman (Sugar Cubes, Cardigans) to Arthur Baker (New Order, Miles Davis). And published by Chrysalis Publishing at age 25.
The debut album from Soundskrit is of uncompromising simplicity and beauty; it is a shot in the arm for a sick and depressed world an alloyage of 21st century electro and sonorous acoustic simplicity.
It lands somewhere between Boards of Canada and The Penguin Café Orchestra, music for travel inside and out. The symphonies and songs are ascending to a new life, written in heaven, sung by angels and produced by God.
