The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.

Speaking of which, and forgive the blatantness of it all, but this is just a last min invite to our EP launch tomorrow night if you fancy some mind-melting cosmic rock n rocll all over your face? :-)
We storm the beaches at 10pm Club Academy presiding over Mantric Hatters and the riff-tacular A Killers Fear!!! What a lineup!!
If you're free then sweet, just thought we'd put it out there you know ;-)
