SANdBLASTING from the 1997 is the solo project of Luca Torasso : at nowdays have been released 6 offical Cd, tracks on compilation ( Elektroanschlag,Schlagstrom, Chew-z, .... ), remixed tracks of artists ( :Bahntier//, Detune-X, XotoX, Post Contemporary Corporation, .... ) and performed live in various festival and clubs ( ELEKTROANSCHLAG, SCHLAGSTROM, SLIMELIGHT, Jazz Rebel Fest, Street Rave Parade, No Vapour, No Human No Cry, ... ) sharing the stage with Dive, Asche, Synapscape, :Bahntier//, Brighter Death Now, P.A.L., Proyecto Mirage, Geistform, Atrox, Ripit, ....
The name of the project has not been casually choosed : there is a link between the sandblasting treatment carried out on the metal surface covered by rust and the Luca Torasso's project. The SANdBLASTING project is based on the fact that all the human being have a brain for to think and with to act but beacuse of the long time of no use, this vital organ has been covered by a thick of rust that prevent his regular function ( oxydation ).
The aim of the SANdBLASTING project is to generate abrasive and violent frequencies that act on the brain of the listener like the powder quartz works on the rusted metal surface. In the 1997 released his first official track "Abbà Pather " for the ZZZprod compilation. In the 2001 started his indipendent label called D.s.K. ( Das Sandblaster's Kabinett ) dedited exclusively to the distribution and production of live performance and improvvisation without post production process in studio. In the2004 with the dj Balli started " +Belligeranza " the first Sonic Belligeranza sub label
and began to collaborate with Stefano Rossello ( :BAHNTIER//, Detune X ) and with the Rustblade label / project.
In the 2007 with Francesco Mulassano ( urbanspaceman ) started the Noisecollective project : an Italian web portal dedited to audio and video experimentation. On October, the 31st 2008SANdBLASTING released his new work " DNA Mutations " : a limited to 300 copies special box. with 5 new tracks written and composed by SANdBLASTING, 13 tracks remixed by Ambassador21, SINO Re-build project, Greyhound, Justin Bennett, :Bahntier//, Mezire
and many other artists, 1 pin, 1 postcard and 1 sticker. On April, the 4th 2009 played to the ELEKTROANSCHLAG N.10. On May, the 22nd released a new and unreleased track for the RUSTBLADE's PASOLINI TRIBUTE including world artists like COIL, AH CAMA-SOTZ, BLACK SUN PRODUCTION, IN SLAUGHTER NATIVES and more...
At nowdays is working on a new release planned for the beginning of the 2010.
SANdBLASTING dal 1997 è il progetto artistico solista di Luca Torasso : ad oggi sono stati pubblicati ufficalmente 6 Cd , partecipato a compilation ( Elektroanschlag,Schlagstrom, Chew-z, .... ), remixato brani di artisti ( :Bahntier//, Detune-X, XotoX, Post Contemporary Corporation, .... ) ed esibito dal vivo in diversi festival e club ( ELEKTROANSCHLAG, SCHLAGSTROM, SLIMELIGHT, Jazz Rebel Fest, Street Rave Parade, No Vapour, No Human No Cry, ... ) condividendo lo stage conDive, Asche, Synapscape, :Bahntier//, Brighter Death Now, P.A.L., Proyecto Mirage, Geistform, Atrox, Ripit, .... Il nome del progetto non è stato scelto casualmente : c'e' un collegamento infatti tra il trattamento superficiale di sabbiatura eseguito sui metalli intaccati dalla ruggine ( in inglese " sandblasting ") ed il progetto artistico di Luca Torasso.
Il progetto SANdBLASTING si basa sul fatto che tutti gli esseri umani hanno un cervello con cui pensare ed agire ma causa
il suo lungo inutilizzo, questo organo vitale è stato avvolto da una strato di ruggine che ne impedisce il regolare funzionamento ( ossidazione ). Lo scopo del progetto SANdBLASTING è quello di generare frequenze così abrasive e violente tali da agire sul cervello dell' ascoltatore come la polvere di quarzo impiegata nel processo di sabbiatura agisce contro le superfici dei materiali arrugginiti. Nel 1997 pubblica la prima traccia "Abbà Pather" per la compilation della label ZZZprod. Nel 2001 inaugura la sua etichetta indipendente D.S.K. (Das Sandblaster's Kabinett) dedicata esclusivamente alla produzione e distribuzione di live performance ed improvvisazioni senza post produzioni in studio. Nel 2004 a dj Balli fonda “ +Belligeranza " la prima sublabel di Sonic Belligeranza ed inizia la collaborazione con Stefano Rossello ( :BAHNTIER//, Detune X ) e con la label / progetto Rustblade.
Nel 2007 insieme a Francesco Mulassano ( urbanspaceman ) realizza il progetto Noisecollective : portale Italiano dedicato alla sperimentazione audio e video. Il 31 Ottobre 2008 è uscito il nuovo lavoro " DNA Mutations " : un box in edizione limitata a 300 copie contentente 5 nuove tracce scritte e composte da SANdBLASTING, 13 tracce remixate daAmbassador21, SINO Re-build project, Greyhound, Justin Bennett, :Bahntier//, Mezire e molti altri artisti, 1 spilla, 1 cartolina ed un adesivo. Il 4Aprile 2009 ha suonato all' ELEKTROANSCHLAG N. 10. Il 22 Maggio ha rilasciato per la compilation di Rustblade " TRIBUTO a PASOLINI " una nuova ed inedita traccia. Attualmente sta lavorandoad una nuova release prevista per l' inizio del 2010.
