Born near Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Jelle Klein – also known by his DJ name Little J - was originally inspired by electronic music when he first started listening to the 3FM live broadcasts of the Chemistry Club nights in 1996. Little did he know this new-found love for electronic music would change his life forever. After hearing the techno and house tunes played by Remy, Derrick May and 100% Isis among other prominent artists, Jelle knew something had touched his soul. He rushed out and bought some decks in the summer of 1997. It didn’t take long to develop a distinct style with a natural affinity for tribal and techno. Inspired by the legendary Awakenings parties he frequented in the early days, Jelle soon started organising small-scale events around Eindhoven. Together Jelle - with friends - founded “The Thirdfloor” in 2004, holding parties that attracted up to as many as 800 techno lovers from around the country on any given night. The Thirdfloor featured up-and-coming DJs from the area . After a successful collaboration at PACT Festival with the renowned techno organization Dommelvallei, George Manz, founder of the organisation, invited Jelle to join as a resident which led to steady appearances in Eindhoven’s larger venues. Jelle has shared the decks and flyers with international names such as Ben Long , Echoplex, Kammy and Takaaki Itoo, Vince Watson ,Reeko ,dj Link , as well as revered national acts including :Alexis Tyrel, Charlton, Rick Angel, Dave Miller & Damian Keane. As wel as playin abroad the Dutch borders He has been invited to perform @ the B-trax records night from french dj/label duo Ben Men & Tarlouf X @ nouveau casino Paris and the Techno sound spreads up in Rio de Janeiro for a gig together with Fabian Lionearth also from Holland . at the second Brasil Trip Campinas near Sao Paolo was played along side Brasilian hero Renato Cohen and Marcellok2 @ Kraft. Rio was already scedualed for two nights : one @ Dama de Ferro and second appearance again at Fosfobox's Quebra Tudo night residented by dj Kammy . But Jelle doesn’t spend his time in the past. He’s looking forward to a wide open future, where he can play a role in growing the techno scene by organizing, promoting and dj-ing.
