Bio
The members of Soup have a knack for cooking up salacious sounds, and like soup they refuse to confine themselves to just one flavor. Hailing from the historic town of Cedarburg, WI, Soup is now serving up their high-energy blend of “funk rock” across the Midwest. On any given night, Soup is creating a taste that appeals beyond generations or genre. In 2006, founding members Sean Kinnunen, Mike Ekvall, and Sean Gierach began their musical journey together by playing local street festivals and private parties. A few short years later, they were introduced to singer and guitarist Max Levin, solidifying the Soup line-up. In 2009, Soup brought their infectious grooves to Summerfest, the world’s largest music festival, and shared a bill with blues legends Buddy Guy and Davy Knowles of Back Door Slam. In April 2010, the band will release its debut album, a self-titled EP featuring seven original tracks, ranging from 60’s and 70’s style classic rock ‘n’ roll to rug-cutting funk. Soup’s live shows are quickly gaining acclaim, and are known for reciprocating the crowd energy and combining their musical appreciation and vibrant stage presence into a show that is a must see. -

Hey guys, what's up? We played with you a while back at that block party show. We're just starting to play shows in Milwaukee, and looking for pretty much any gigs we can get. If you guys need an opener ever, even if it's just a 15 minute or half hour set, we'd be happy to do it. I think our styles will mesh real well...
We will definitely return the favor if the opportunity arises. Hope to hear back from you! By the way, things sound great guys.
