Since 2001, The Sourkeys have been making waves out of their hometown of Waterloo, Ontario. Through their incendiary live show and incessant touring it has helped them to garner a strong national following and create awareness and recognition on college radio across Canada. In 2004, their self-released full-length record would debut at number seven on the Earshot Canada charts and quickly be followed up with a split 7” release with the Vermicious Knid. 2006 sees the release of The Spectacle, a six song EP moving towards a more aggressive, polyrhythmic sound on the We Are Busy Bodies imprint. Having spent the beginning half of the year writing, the Sourkeys are taking to the road to support the release with regional summer dates before an Eastern Canada tour in October, followed by Western Canada before the years’ end.

just a whisper to our local friends to say we'll be introducing you to our new drummer online in January and that we have started booking '09 shows. hope we hit/share a stage near you. the fun starts at the elMo Feb 5th.

Topics range from artist and podcast interviews, reviews of travel locations, and occasional screencasts demonstrating social web applications!
