The WCS South Bay Open Mic is one of eight regional open mics in the Bay Area and LA providing our members with a monthly opportunity to perform their original songs before a live audience, and to receive written feedback from industry judges. .. You must be a member of the West Coast Songwriters to participate in the WCS South Bay open mic. Members may have non-members join them on stage for their performance. .. Not a member yet, or has your membership expired? Sign up and pay for your membership at this event and we will waive the event fee! Annual membership is $75. A reduced membership fee of $40 is offered to students with proof of 40 units or more. .. The South Bay WCS monthly competitions run from October through July and are held the third Tuesday of the month at The Blue Rock Shoot at 14523 Big Basin Way, Saratoga, Ca. Sign ups are from 7p-7:29p and we roll at 7:30p. Members fee is $5, free to the public. Semi finals are held in August with that winner going on to the Finals held later that month. .. WCS events take place in locations throughout the west coast, as far south as Los Angeles and as far north as Sacramento. There are four categories of membership available. With the support of the music industrys leading songwriters, publishers, producers and record companies as well as local and volunteer backing, WCS is able to present 15-20 monthly events and provide substantial support to its membership. ..
