Southbound Lane is a Dallas band started by singer/songwriter Dave Smith. What started out as a simple acoustic project took on a new life with Dallas musician/record producer Mike Daane. Add Matt and Paul,the Burnside brothers, on guitars,banjo, mandolins and bass, drummer Randy Lovvorn and well known Dallas musician Brian Miller on guitar, mandolin and vocals the band was complete. Now, two and a half years later the record is done. Mixed by Texas legend Lloyd Maines and Pat Manske, the record is already getting rave reviews. Southbound Lane is ready to take it to the next level since the record is done. Having made it to the finals of the 2008 Shiner Bock Rising Star compeition, SBL is ready to build on their reputation as one of the best live acts in the metroplex.
Dave, Matt, Brian, Randy and Paul are excited to see where this will take SBL. We are also looking forward to all of you who have supported us the past year accompanying us on this journey.
