The South City Blues Band is back on track, and ready to deliver the blues. We're talking about authentic blues, from the best of the classic masters to original blues written by lead singer/guitarist Jim Porter.
That's right -- no rock. No pop. Just the blues.
SCBB was formed in Atlanta in 2003 by Hank Selinger, Jim Porter, and David McCoy, entertaining Atlanta's blues fans for over three years. Doug See replaced David in 2004. After a hiatus, the band has come full circle. Three of the four original band members -- Vocalist and guitarist Jim Porter, guitarist Doug See and drummer Jimmy Welter -- are back, and SCBB is stronger than ever.
SCBB's original bassist Hank Selinger passed away last summer. In addition to laying down the groove on his Fender Precision Bass, Hank was our "driving wheel" when it came to booking, marketing, and coordinating shows.
We are proud to keep this blues band going in the direction Hank set, with Andy Shaughnessy (Funky Bluester, The Porch Dawgs) holding down the low end. Blues harp wizard and singer "Indiana Pete" Powers rounded out the lineup. Soon we'll be playing a gig near you.
Come on out and enjoy a night of the blues!

Doug "the Rambler" See is smokin' on lead guitar...Jim and Pat are crazy good with the vocals...Jimmy is a joy to watch...and that bass player, Andy, is a real cute rhythm keeper (his fiancee' is awesome, by the way!)
Oh yay...Kimmy Sue gets to pop the cherry! Wish I knew what to say...uh...good luck! If Andy wears his orange swim trunks to a gig, you have my permission to beat him! Haaaaaaaaa!
Glad to see you back in real action Rambler! You guys will undoubtedly spread good times wherever you go!
