Through endeavors with www.downsouthjukin.com I became very aware of the need for a place and/or organization which unifies the Southern Music sites, businesses, bands, and fans. It seemed that everyone I talked to had very similar things to say: "We need to get Southern Music, Southern Culture, and values back into the mainstream. We wanted to offer a home base sort of speak for folks to come to and find anything related to Southern Music of any kind. Southern Music Alliance also promotes, merchandises, collaborates, and coordinates with bands, artists, and venues. In short, we are somewhat of a production company specializing in Southern Music Styles. We do everything from build web sites to make t-shirts. Hogjaw is making plans to hit the road in October for a fall tour. We do not have a definite schedule as of yet but were making plans to hit the Midwest to Southern States.
