SEETHER
What Seether have done since 2002 – when they released their US debut“Disclaimer” – is capture the attention of music fans across the globe with epic riffs and thunderous rhythms. The reworked “Disclaimer II” went platinum in USA when a new rendition of the ballad “Broken” became a Top 20US chart hit. Seether’s success carried forward with 2005’s “Karma and Effect”, which debuted on the Billboard Album Charts at #8 containing the huge hit “Remedy”.
“Fake It” – the radio smash that launched the disc has been a huge hit in NZ followed by the equally anthemic “Rise Above This”.Their headline slot at Southern Amp will be the band’s FIRST EVER (and longoverdue…) concert appearance in NZ.
THE CHARLATANS
As The Charlatans approach their 20th anniversary, their music continues to be as inspirational to hundreds of thousands of fans as it did when they first appeared on the British music scene in 1989. They first tasted chart success when their 2nd and now iconic indie single “The Only One I Know” became a top 10 hit in 1990 and have since gone on to establish themselves as a major force in the British scene, enjoying nine Top 10 albums (including three Number1’s).
They visit NZ for the FIRST TIME to support the album’s release on Cooking Vinyl/Shock Records after a run of European summer festivals. Southern Amp 2008 will be their only NZ festival appearance.
THE ASTON SHUFFLE
The Aston Shuffle hailing from Australia’s capital Canberra, are a little electro, a little techno, but all house. TIGER TONES
Tiger Tones make a very welcome return to Southern Amp on the NZ Music Stage with their forceful live performance of intelligent pop music that’s also intensely danceable...!

THE LIVING END
It has been more than 10 years since The Living End released their breakout double-A sided single “Second Solution”/“Prisoner of Society” – with many hit songs, gold & platinum albums, sold-out shows, festival headlining appearances, world tours and thousands of satisfied punters in between.
THE DANDY WARHOLS
Need little introduction but pose, if not an actual threat, then at least a series of pressing questions; Where do they come from? Whatdrives them? And perhaps most of all, what do they want with us…? Returning to NZ for their first live appearance since Big Day Out 2004 equipped with a brand new album “Earth To The Dandy Warhols” on their own brand new record label. ..
Music
GYROSCOPE
Have nailed it on their third album, “Breed Obsession” with the four best friends from Perth Australia pushing far beyond the infectious and intelligent pop-rock of their breakthrough 2006 album “Are You Involved?”
TESTAMENT
One of the first thrash metal bands to emerge from the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1980's. Their powerful sound made them one of the All-Time Top 5 Metal Bands in the company of Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth & Anthrax.

THE POTBELLEEZ
If recent form is anything to go by,with “Don’t Hold Back” being the biggest dance hit of the year on bothsides of the Tasman, all sorts of awards and being snapped up by Ministry OfSound to mix the recent “Sessions” CD, the sky now seems the limit!
THE JORDAN LUCK BAND
Front man and pop-writing genius with one of NZ’s iconic and legendary bands The Exponents,‘Legend’ is a word suffering from unwarranted overuse syndrome these days, but its original intention is 100% intact when describing the affection the Kiwi public has for Jordan’s songs.

AUTOZAMM
Carving out quite a niche as one of this country’s fine liveacts having supported Powderfinger, Shihad, Silverchair and The Black Crowesrecently. their latestsingle ‘Closer To Home’ is fast becoming a major hit on NZ radio.
CONCORD DAWN

Heroes
DIE!DIE!DIE!
Are worthy of their Russ Meyer–like name… Hailing from Dunedin and having toured the world over, this sickeningly tight power-trio have little patience for pop concessions! Abrasive and bare-bones, the bandmakes a lot out of a little… the result is mind-numbingly satisfying!
FUR PATROL
Hailing from Wellington the now two thirds Melbourne residents and one third back in Wellington again! With two albums, one producing a huge NZ #1 single, and two EPs to date in Australasia since forming in 1996, the new album, “Local Kid”, is due for release later this year.

hi there :) i would absolutly LOVE to meet seether! their music is really inspiring and they are one of those bands that have helped me through my teen years! i have all their albums and love pretty much all their songs, my partner and i were saving to go to southern amp but our car died and had to spend our ticket money on that :S but thats life, im sure ill see it on tv! rock on everyone whos going!!! love shadow xoxo
Hey, The Southern Amp band that I'd most like to meet is, with out a doubt, Little Bushman. I love the wide variety of styles that they draw from, from psychedelic to blues, jazz and even roots. I'm a fan of most of the bands that Warren Maxwell has been a part of but what sets Little Bushman apart, and what I really respect about them, is the way that their music combines heart and a social consciousness. Meeting the band would be fantastic, but a chance to hear them play live is what would really make me buzz.
Hello, I would absolutely love to meet Fur Patrol because they are my favourite band ever. They were also the first band I saw live and the reason I started playing music. :) fantastic! -Renee.
Hi, I would like to meet the dandy Warholes at southern amp, because they are, by far the best band playing, and probably the best band to play at any southern amp...
Hey, My name is James from Altie a very small, non profit indie radio show on saturday nights in Takapuna and Devonport.
The opportunity to meet the boys Die! Die! Die! would be the most fantastic thing, as they are a band I love with a passion and play them every show as well as allowing my audience to hear all what they are all about!
My show is all about New Zealand indie music and these guys are exactly what I love about it.
I would love to meet The Charlatans - why?....... well firstly have been a fan since the good old days when my stepdad used to stick on their album at the weekends and wake me up on a sunday morning so then I'd have to dance around the house pretending to be doing the dreaded housework!! Secondly to ask them why the hell it has taken them so long to get to NZ to show these kiwis what british music (and music in general) is all about!!! And lastly well cos they rock and who wouldn't want to meet them and buy them a good old pint of warm english beer!!! hehe - oh and my friend will love me forever if I took him along too as he has been a fan for years as well.
I'd like to be in the draw to win tickets to southern amp so i can meet Tiki Taane because hes a legend and who wouldnt wanna meet such an awesome artist
Hello, i am Rachel. I would LOOOOVE the chance to meet Seether. I think they sould go down in the history of music. howdy! please add me in the draw to win tix 4 S.A.!! i'm eager to meet the Dandy Warhols! why you ask....i was supposed to go to their show in the States however i got snowed in and delayed by a day taking the train. boo-hoo so sad ...i'm over it now...I WANNA ROCK!!

I'll be embarking on a solo electronic tour of the North Island this month. Armed with a synth, mpc, vocoder and a guitar plugged into my trusty looper, I'll be performing songs off of A Maze and Amazement and the forthcoming record.
