Southern Attic play straight up Rock N Roll. Their sound is a melting pot of catchy guitar riffs, driving rhythms and soaring vocals.
Once upon a time Rory O’Neill and Andy Odom got together to write songs and put a band together, soon after Shain McAlindon and Ben Rangecroft joined - Southern Attic was born.
Success quickly followed with radio airplay as part of the BBC weekender series and appearances at notable venues such as; Roadmender and Soundhaus – Northampton; The Cobden Club, The Troubadour and Under the Westway – London.
With genuine interest surrounding the band, Southern Attic has a growing fanbase on MySpace of over 5,000 friends, receiving around 100 plays per day. On top of this Southern Attic have created a buzz with their live show and involvement in the international ‘Dress the Band’ competition. ‘Dress the Band’ was part of London Fashion Week and covered by Fashion TV.
Southern Attic have generated industry interest in the UK and the USA from the likes of; The Brit Bus Tour, The British Consulate, Kobalt Music Publishing, Darren Henderson (Former VP of Sony BMG), Academy of Recording Artists and David Goldberg of Style Caster.
Southern Attic have just finished recording their eponymous EP which captures the exciting live sound that the band generates. Confident that these songs are their best to date the band is looking forward to gigging them across the country.
