Southern Belle Store.com is recently made a small donation to our friends at Palmer Home for Children in Columbus, Mississippi.
Palmer Home for Children is a ministry to children in need.....children who are growing up as social orphans without the nurture and support of a loving family.....children who need a place to be and to become.
Palmer, for more than 100 years, has provided a stable, Christ-centered home life built on loving one-to-one relationships. Founded in 1895 by Presbyterians and other concerned friends, Palmer remains committed to helping children achieve their full God-given potential, however scarred or shattered their family background.
Today, in Columbus, that founding vision embraces some 80 boys and girls from birth through college age who live year round in seven attractive cottages that grace Palmer's grounds.
A few years ago that vision extended our campus near Hernando, Mississippi, a few miles south of Memphis, TN. We currently have almost 20 boys and girls in two cottages on our new campus, and look forward to seeing that grow to over 100 children in 12 cottages.
A new era has began at Palmer Home for Children with the addition of Mississippi Sheriffs' Boys & Girls Ranches. In January 2005, Palmer Home took over operation of the Sheriffs' Ranches and we look forward to seeing that program grow.

I am truly blessed with the gift of your friendship. I'm very sorry that I haven't been in touch like I should have lately. With all that has been going on with Winston I have not gotten too many chances to be online. The weeks have really gone by fast. I praise God so much that Winston is improving and is almost back to 100%. Now we’re going through an uncertain future with JJ as he remains in ICU at the animal hospital. Hopefully everything will be fine and back to normal soon. Thank you for understanding and continuing to be my friend.
