Beginning Class Guitar
This class is designed for the student who has no previous experience in playing classical guitar. The student will learn a multitude of techniques as well as lean to read music.
Spring Session: May 8, 15, 22, 29 6-8pm
Summer Session: June 5, 12, 19, 26 6-8pm
Fees: $150
Ages: 13 and up
Requirements: 1. Proper working nylon string guitar. 2. Desire to learn.
Children’s Classical Guitar
This class is intended for students between the ages of 6-12 years of age. The young student will learn the proper way to hold and sit with the guitar, learn to read music, and play simple melodies.

Intermediate/Advanced Classical Guitar
This is a class is designed for the classical guitarist that has some experience and can read at least basic notation. A multitude of technical concepts will be discussed and demonstrated. Some of the class sessions will cover the following:
-Efficient practicing, and how to make a working practice schedule
-Tone and coloring
-Right and left hand techniques
-Technical studies
-Tremolo
- Sitting and posture
-Performance
All the students in this course will have an opportunity to perform in a master class setting within St. Luke’s Church. After the final session, an analysis of the students progress and recommendations for further practice will be made so as to assist the student in his/her daily practice.
