Great music, great people, great band!!!
Zozo Afrobeat is literally one of the hottest Afrobeat bands in the NYC. Zozo in Yoruba means fire. The leader Kaleta spent years as a front man for Fela Kuti (the pioneer of Afrobeat), his son Femi Kuti (one of many who as helped to keep Afrobeat relevant), and King Sunny Addae (Juju music). The band is a collection of musicians from all over the world love the spirit, vitality, and downright funk of afrobeat.
I have worked with Nasheka Siddall, American Idol Finalist from season 2 (www.myspace.com/nashekasiddall).
I have also done sub work for The Sweet Divines (www.myspace.com/thesweetdivines).
Also, I work from time to time with the Brandon Sanders Quintet.
