I will Always remember the first time I got fried!!!.
"Southern Fried" is a cover band.
However, few "cover" bands have the feeling and depth of Southern Fried. As a metter of fact, not too many "original" bands out there have the passion that these guys do.
I became an instant fan. I have always loved Southern Rock. Skynyrd, Marshal Tucker, Molly Hatchet, The Allmans the list is endless, and the guys from Southern Fried play them all. And play them well.
Southern Fried has really been in the works for about 20 years.
The reason I believe that they are so good at what they do goes back to what I was saying about passion. The group’s lead vocalist/percussionist/2nd drummer (not bongo player), Dave Forbes, looks and sounds like he should have been on stage at the Fillmore East back in ’71. Never has a singer captured, not only the sound, but the spirit of an undying era. Dave is a friendly, go with the flow kind of guy, who represents the musicians behind him with pride.
Southern Fried is meant to be seen and heard. They are the type of band that provides you with a "live experience" of Southern Rock. Upon my first time hearing the band in their entirety, they took the stage and simply tore through In Memory of Elizabeth Reed seamlessly. I actually had the opportunity to see the Allman Brothers Band live just a few months later with Forbes and upon hearing their version of Liz Reed, I can honestly say, it was incredible how similar they sounded. Almost eerie.

The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days.
