I'm just a mom of two, an independent wine consultant for The Traveling Vineyard®, and to keep my sanity among the Yankees (kidding), I write southern-themed poetry, short stories and memoirs. I have been published on the web on sites such as USA Deep South, Southern Humorists, Muscadine Lines - A Southern Journal, Mosaic Minds and Long Story Short. I am also a contributor in Dew on the Kudzu and Weight-Loss Articles.com where I write dieting humor. You can read more of my stuff at www.southerngalgoesnorth.blogspot.com.
I also love to turn up the music and rock now and then too. You can never have too much rock and roll.

I bring the wine and the glasses and you provide the guests.
Hey Sweetie, sorry I haven't gotten back to you. We have GOT to get together and hit that store! I've had a rough couple of days - some bad news about both my parents (we'll have to talk about that over lunch soon) and then I had to get the house ready for our in-home interview for the puppy tonite. I think it went well! Cody & Carly got along GREAT! I sure hope we get her. She's a sweetie and is so soft...her fur reminds me of Maggie! Well, I work for the next 3 days, but I'll try to call inbetween :)
Fortunately, we were not near the tornadoes. But we have experienced them in our small town. We had a F5 go through in 2002. We live out in the country, so it didn't affect us personally, but we had friends that lost their homes.
Hey Dana! As for the puppy, I'm not sure if we will get her. we began by filling out a really detailed adoption form, but they need to do a home visit to make sure we would be the best fit for the puppy. Also, we don't know yet how many other people may be trying to adopt her. So, keep your fingers crossed for us...she's such a sweetie and spent the first few months of her life VERY sick & in the care of a rescue organization. Well, have a great mom's day & let's try to get together and shop this week!
