Announcements for 2009: 1. Casting for "Shine" will be held in the late part of Jan. or the beginning of Feb. We will be listing up roles within the next two weeks for the parts we are casting in the movie. "Shine" is a more modern slasher film. But, still with the old 80s style to it. If you are interested in reading for a part in the movie please contact me on here. I will be sending out details later on this coming month. 2. SHWA is gearing up for its second anthology release this spring. "Gravestones by Moonlight" the book was originally due out back in October but was delayed because of printer issues. Will annouce release date soon. 3. Post Mortem Comics will be releasing two of its titles in late Feb. or the beginning of March. Issues of release dates were the same as for Gravestones. We were working through issues with our printer. 4. Southern Grave Diggers Magazine will be gearing back up this spring. Delays all around halted us with production of everything. But, print issues will be hitting the stands in the summer of 2009. 5. Writers of the Association gear up this coming year. We are looking for short screenplays to produce. We are in talks with a few film companies on producing a new horror series for television. Please contact us if interested in writing for the series.

I would like to say good bye to a dear friend of mine, Joseph McGee. Joe passed away on Nov. 27th. He was a dear friend of mine, an honored member of the Southern Horror Writers Association and a outstanding young writer. My heart goes out to his family this holiday season. May you find peace in some way. The association will be displaying and honoring him over the next couple of months to honor his life and to honor him as one of the best up and coming writers. Please stop by his myspace profile and honor him by leaving a few words to the family. I will miss you buddy, you had became a brother to me more than a friend. God Bless.
