About me:
Welcome to the Southern Illinois Kids Got Talent myspace. We are announcing a NEW Fundraiser with SIK (Southern Illinois Kids) that will benefit the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center.
Last year's show was a raving success--we raised around $4,000!!
This is a show put on by kids - for kids.
Our event committee is headed up by a 14 year old from Herrin, Spencer Gualdoni, who was inspired by the "Oprah Gives Back" campaign on the Oprah Show. He approached Kathy Schimpf, Executive Director of the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center in April of 2008 with his idea.
Southern Illinois Kids Got Talent 2 is already being planned. We had a great first meeting and got a lot accomplished!
The show date is September 19th, 2009 at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center--mark your calendars!
A rehearsal for the show is going to be on September 17th at 6 pm. Sound check will be the day of the show at 5 pm.
The audtion dates are set for August 22nd, 2009 at the West Frankfort High School & August 29th, 2009 at John A. Logan College.
Tell all your friends who have a talent to share, ages 7-18, we want to show Southern Illinois that our kids have amazing talent and a heart for giving back to hurting children. We want to make this show even better than last year's!!!!
