--ITALIANO--Nati nell’ottobre 2002 dalle menti di Andrea Fantechi (Fantecos-chitarra) e Vanni Jahier(Vanjahier-batteria), che tramite un annuncio esilarante trovano Giovanni Fanfani(Vannimetal-basso). il gruppo si propone come power trio e si chiamano “Carpenteria Metallica”,e nel loro repertorio cominciano subito a fioccare importanti cover (AC/DC e ZZ top su tutti). Nel dicembre 2002 entra un secondo chitarrista , Matteo Luccioli(Teo Lights-chitarra), valente solista per il neonato gruppo. Decisi a sfondare nell’underground fiorentino, nel febbraio 2003 chiamano alla voce il talentuoso Andrea Bargioni(Eddie screamer-voce) degno erede di Rob Halford nella zona del valdarno.
Da questo momento si chiamano OVERLOAD e cominciano una serie di concerti infuocati di passione per l’hard rock anni 70, intravedendo già quello che sarà l’indirizzo per gli anni a venire: il southern rock. Le cover proposte in questo periodo spaziano anche su Queen, Whitesnake, Blue oyster cult, Judas priest oltre a Molly hatchet, ZZ top, Lynyrd skynyrd, Atlanta rythm section, che decisamente prenderanno più campo nel repertorio degli anni seguenti.
Dopo molti concerti e un’attività live estenuante, Matteo decide di lasciare il gruppo nel settembre del 2005, seguito da Eddie. I nostri overload si trovano così ad affrontare a testa alta un periodo di nuovo da trio(voci dicono che il trio avesse cambiato anche nome e fosse diventato la Honeybuzzer band). Senza perdersi d’animo i tre nel gennaio 2006 trovano in Jacopo Fallai(Jacopo young-chitarra)un chitarrista pieno di estro e voglia di esprimere il suo lato southern rock. Tale nuovo innesto porta nuova vita nell’ambiente e il singer eddie decide di riprendersi il microfono. Riparte così l’avventura overload, tra nuove covers (lynyrd skynyrd, rose tattoo e molly hatchet su tutti) e vecchie canzoni riprese dal vecchio repertorio (Led zeppelin, Lizards, ZZ top).
Nel marzo 2008 causa partenza per il sudamerica di Fanta, l’amico Alberto Rosin(maestro Ojeda-chitarra) degli Sniders (tribute band dei Twisted Sister) decide di aiutare gli overload per qualche data, per poi riuscire dalla band al ritorno di Fanta (maggio 2008): è durante il periodo con il maestro che gli overload decidono di scrivere materiale proprio, con ispirazione dal southern rock; così sono nate le prima canzoni originali degli overload, “Lost in the desert” e lo scatenato rock di “Travelin’with my friends”.
Che dire di più di questo fantastico gruppo dell’underground fiorentino?...the south has risen again!

---ENGLISH--Born in october 2002 by the minds of Andrea Fantechi( fantecos-guitar) and Vanni Jahier(vanjahier-drums), who found later Giovanni Fanfani(vannimetal-bass). The band started as a power trio, naming themselves “carpenteria metallica”, covering some songs by AC/CD and ZZ Top. In december 2002 came in a second guitarist, Matteo Luccioli(teo lights-guitar), good solo player for this new born band. They tried to become a little bit more famous in the underground rock’n’roll scene of Florence by recruiting the great singer Andrea Bargioni (eddie-vocals), considered a voice very similar to the first Rob Halford. From now on, they changed the band name into OVERLOAD and started many concerts set on fire with so much passion for the sounds of the 70’s: began the love for the southern rock. In this period the covers were also on Queen, Whitesnake, Blue Oyster Cult, Judas Priest, then Molly Hatchet, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Atlanta Rhythm Section. After many concerts in the surroundings of Florence, Matteo left the band in September 2005, followed by Eddie. The trio left changed name for a brief period: it was The Honeybuzzer band.
But in January 2006 they found a new guitarist in Jacopo Fallai(Jacopo young-guitar), a great guitarist for this southern rock band. This new player brought new life in the band, and eddie came back on the mic, so the band started again with new covers(Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rose Tattoo, Molly Hatchet) and old ones from the first period( Led Zeppelin, Lizards, ZZ Top). During this period they made 2 tribute nights, one for AC/DC in may 2006 and one for Black Sabbath in november 2006, for the 36th birthday of their most famous song, Paranoid.
On march 2008, Fanta went in south America for some month, and the band found his replacement in Alberto Rosin (maestro ojeda-guitars), friend of us and guitarist from the band The Sniders(the twisted sister cover band), who gave help for some dates, then Fanta came back to his place( may 2008):during this period the band tried to write their own material, influenced by southern rock-these fresh new songs were “lost in the desert” and the wild rock of “travelin’ with my friends”.
What else can i say of this fantastic underground band?...the south has risen again!!!
On October 2008 we had a new member, Saverio (el grifa -keyboards), supporting the fresh sound of this southern rock band, who made his first appearance on 8th November…well, WELCOME IN OUR SOUTHERN FAMILY!!!

Io questo fine settimana sono stata brava, ho sollecitato il fegato solo venerdì ad una festa in casa mia e ieri sera, giusto per trovarsi in ottime condizioni fisiche di lunedì mattina al lavoro!
Ciao ti comunichiamo i prossimi eventi che faremo nel mese di Luglio per poi andare in ferie e ripartire con la stagione invernale! Sabato prossimo 18 Luglio i The Sentinel la tribute band dei Judas Priest suonerà per noi all'ippodromo delle cascine di Firenze (via del Pegaso 1)
Ed il sabato dopo (sabato 25 Luglio), sempre all'Ippodromo Le Mulina delle Cascine é il momento del ritorno dei grandissimi Story of Jade che presenteranno nuovi pezzi e nuovo repertorio e con una scenografia horror come sempre suggestiva ed affascinante.
