But that's not all we do. When we are not playing in the snow, we have a summer & winter party to show off our dance moves, Memorial Day weekend is spent camping, white water rafting, and horseback riding. Every summer, our bowling league and golf tournament is very popular. We also go sky diving, rock climbing, play paintball, rollerskate parties, barbecues, bike rides, and our most popular events: out potlucks!

Welcome to SSS on MySpace! We are here to welcome anyone and everyone that is interested in skiing, summer adventures, and hanging out with cool folks. If you fit one of these categories, sign on up so you that will stay informed.
The Southern Snow Seekers is one of the largest Ski clubs in the South. Our Atlanta, GA based club was founded in 1983 with eleven (11) members. Currently, our membership exceeds 400! We are a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization and members of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) and the Crescent Ski Council (CSC).
The NBS was chartered in 1974, and consists of 84 clubs throughout the US and one in London, England. The CSC was formed in 1969 and consists of 22 clubs throughout the Southeast US.
One of the Southern Snow Seekers Ski Club's goals is to support the mission of the NBS at the local level. The primary challenge of the NBS is to identify and fund high-caliber African American youth skiers capable of winning a berth on the U.S. Olympic Ski Team.
Another goal of the Southern Snow Seekers is to introduce the sport of ski/snowboard racing to our members through the Crescent Ski Council. Racing not only improves our abilities, it's a lot of fun!
We don't just ski! We host several fun off-ski season social and sport activities to provide a year-round camaraderie among the members and to seek new membership. We welcome you to explore what we are all about.
