Formed in June 2008, South went on to win the Hype Entertainment Battle Of The Bands just three months later. The lineup consists of Thomas Donoghue (Vocals, Guitars), Ken Farrell (Bass) and Alan Dawson (Drums).
Using a diverse mixture of influences, the trio have combined the vocal elements of bands like the Stone Temple Pilots & Pearl Jam, with the modern alternative sounds of Incubus and the guitar stylings’ of John Butler.
In April 2009, the band recorded their debut album ‘Insula’ in the Mill Studios, Kilkenny. Released on July 31st, ‘Insula’ is a polished blend of melodic and sincere vocals; mixing mellow acoustic and crunchy electric guitars with fluid bass-lines, reinforced by percussive grooves.

On Youtube, Myspace, etcetera there is so much content that you have to be found in the crowd, plus a banner advertisement for one
day would cost around 50.000 Euro per day. We have a low budget arrangement that will cost you less and you will be seen on one of best music websites in Europe! We have at the moment 22.000 unique visitors on the website and they stay on average for 31 minutes, thats even better as Youtube! And this crowd is still growing. A banner for a year would cost the band or you, 100 Euro VAT.excluded, and the band is mentioned in our newsletter. We hold the right to say no to a banner or band.
