About me:
Southpaw is a large capacity, 5,000 square foot venue located in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We bring you local, national, international artists and dj's spanning all musical genres.
Carved and created out of a 99 Cent Discount store in the middle of Brooklyn, Southpaw opened its doors in June of 2002 and since then has emerged as one of New York City's premiere venues for concerts and special events.
Southpaw now features DOWN SOUTH - our new bar, which is located downstairs from the main space, will be open during all our busiest nights and features a full-bar, plasma tv and projector showing what's going on upstairs on the stage. The room is also wired with an expectional sound system which will be piping in the live music from upstairs and also features its own DJ booth. If you're interested in renting Down South for private function please contact Southpaw. Check out the space.
In 2004, Southpaw was chosen as one of the top 5 venues in all of New York City by TIME OUT NY. Our famous jukebox was also called "jaw-dropping" in Time Out NY's Music Issue. No jukebox any more.
