The South Saturn Delta sound goes back to the roots of Blues-influenced Rock'N'Roll with a particularly tasty Southern flavor. With influences ranging from the Southern Rock sound of The Allman Brothers, Tom Petty, Bad Company, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crowes & CCR, to the Blues sounds of BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top & Jimi Hendrix to the Classic 60's & 70's English Rock sound of Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones & Cream... SSD creates a sound about as thick as an Alabama swamp!!!
SSD plays regularly at clubs the central Alabama region, but is always looking for new opportunities! They have headlined major events including the Sloss Furnace Stokin The Fire and performed opening duties for legendary musicians such as The Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Georgia Satellites...and, yes, even Kid Rock at Verizon Music Center Amphitheater in Birmingham!!!
