Denny Snyder, born and raised in South Bend, Indiana has been playing his music all over North America since the 1980's. Although this exceptional guitarslinger-singer-songwriter worked a 20 state region, he became known mostly in the states of Indiana, Michigan, and the Chicago scene while also working most major Canadian cities between Québec City and Vancouver. Denny has been mostly seen and heard in either his 3 piece power blues trio or his solo acoustic blues and finger style shows. In February of 2007 he and his family relocated to Montréal, Québec. Denny continues to perform as Southside Denny. He will be doing a stretch of shows in June with his old friends Lou Poulos on bass and Rick Bole on the drums. This will be a total powerhouse rhythm section! In 2011 Denny started a whole new band called 'The Snyders'. Featuring daughter Lorrie on Bass and vocals and son Philip on the drums, they released their first album together in March of 2012. It's back to full-blown electric madness, and these kids are layin' it down! You can see more about this project at www.the3snyders.com. Recent accomplishments: April 18th, 2010 Dennys most recent CD 'Full Circle' won a Lys Blues award in Québec Canada for .. Denny conducts group guitar workshops covering a wide variety of subjects including blues playing, improvisation, alternate tunings, and slide guitar Artists Denny has performed with: Luther Allison, Pinetop Perkins, Larry McCray, Sugar Blue, Lefty Diz, John Fogerty and many others... Has been opening act for: Luther Allison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, Ray Charles, Albert Collins, Lonnie Mack, Taj Mahal, Ko Ko Taylor, Legendary Blues Band, Sugar Blue, Bernard Allison, Larry McCray, Rod Piazza, Honeyboy Edwards, Lonnie Brooks, George Thorogood, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Styx, Edgar Winter, and The Beach Boys... Denny plays Melancon Guitars and Dr. Z Amplifiers
