Southwood Garage formed in 2006 amongst friends with Angelo Cheung on vocals/guitar, Nathan Kwok on lead guitar, Justin Ku on bass/back up vocals and Howard Poon on drums. Though new to playing as a band, Southwood Garage has no intention to play cover song, focusing on its energy and creativity to make original music. The band members all come from musical backgrounds and share similar tastes in music styles ranging from metal to punk and classic rock. The band is still searching for its own sound and currently has around 8 original songs in its repertoire, looking to record an EP in the future.
Being new to the band scene, Southwood Garage has been steadily gaining experience in performing live gigs, playing and various locations such as Cherrybrook Lantern Night, The Mandarin Club, The Spanish Club and most recently the Sydney City RSL along side punk band The Lost Echoes. Angelo Cheung has also performed acoustic sets in Youth in the Mall and the A Difference Corner Acoustic Lounge. The band is improving its performance skills with each gig and is looking forward to playing at bigger and better venues as they become more experienced.

Thanks for you kind words! Yeah, i watched you guys and I thought you were gelo (main singer right??).
Haha, the crazy Hare Krishna people chanting through the streets. Or what about when that Nova thing was being inflated and the generator machine made that loud rackett ha?? They were lovely during my set weren't they? The whole time I was just like "don't get put off... dont get put off!"
Your music was cool also! You had a really solid and strong voice and the cool guitar distortions enhanced everything! Awesome!
So are you guys in uni? Do you guys perform often?
Well anyway, hope to see you again and then we can properly "meet and greet" haha.
I didn't even know you were in the audience! You should've come over to say hello! Thank you for your kind words again, I enjoyed performing there very much. Yeh, it's a shame that I have to use that dodgy keyboard without a pedal but alas! when my songs are on the piano, they sound much better so hopefully next time I perform, I can find a nice roland to use or something :)
Thanks for all your kind words, it's very encouraging for me and I surely appreciate it. As with the live shows, unfortunately, I don't have many opportunities to play live. In fact, would you have any advice on how to get gigs? thanks
