Soverin consists of Joe and Tom on guitars, Barney on bass guitar and Nick on drums. Soverin originally formed as just a trio with Nick, Tom and Barney in early 2004. However, 6 months later, Joe joined the band as our second guitarist, song writer and lead singer. Our first gig was in Bicester Snooker Club where we played a set of 6 songs. We received some positive support and were offered a few other gigs that very night. We played in numerous venues such as Merton Beer Festival, The Mill - In Banbury, The Courtyard - in Bicester and various pubs and schools. In 2007 the band have also done live interviews on BBC RADIO OXFORD & TOUCH FM. Soverin also appeared on BBC SOUTH TODAY. In 2005, we recorded our 5 song demo 'RunAway', including songs such as Stormy Seas, Last Man Standing, Violet Light, Run Away and S.O.S. Soon after, Dave Sharp from Fat Boy productions offered to record another single 'It's True' and he helped us record and mix it in London. As well as our 5 song demo 'Run Away', 'It's True' is also available on a 2 song single, including a live recorded version of our instrumental 'Now I'm Here' (video on website - www.soverin.tk ). Also recently, Joe wrote a song which he dedicated to The Oxford Children's Hospital to see if we could help to raise some money. This song 'Hold My Hand' can now be purchased on a mini album priced £4.99 from HMV or online from www.coprodirect.com or www.plastichead.com. The album has 4 tracks and a video of us performing the hospital song. It wasw distributed by Crash Records (www.crash-records.co.uk). Joe and the rest of the band have been coming up with a lot of new material that is so far unrecorded and a full album may be in the pipe line! But for now, we are writing new songs and enjoying playing where we can.
