The band originates from Italy and was formed in 1998. By 2000 Sovversivo’s identity evolved when members began writing songs which mixed both Hard Rock and Heavy Metal styles. Great live performances from 2002-2006, in collaboration with the Black Dahlia Agency, gave Sovversivo the opportunity to play with well-known and respected bands such as Labyrinth, Rain, Extrema, Doomsword, Omen and Virgin Steele. 3 demo cd’s were recorded in 2002, 2003 and 2005. Of the founding members 3 remain; Andrea Uboldi (vocals), Matteo Serra (guitar) and Federico Gassa (bass). The drummer has changed 3 times, currently it is Gianluca Luci (ex Ahrcana) who joined in 2006. New lives, Two new songs (“The raising faith” and “Brave guide”) and new arrangements to old stuff during 2007.
At the beginning of 2008 Sovversivo enters the studio (Indyrecords studios - Hyades , Dust in Eyes, Kenos) to realize the first full-length: Wild Emotions; the album is now obtaining great responses and reviews.
Sovversivo has recently signed with alkemist-fanatix agency for management and promotion.
