a strange eclectic mix of folk, molodic singing, and a soothing combination of instrumentation.
It has been said, "Soyu Sae is a multifaceted performer who captures the art of storytelling through inimitable melodies.” Her music is brimming with emotion; each song a time capsule of a moment in her life that portrays a universal sentiment that everyone can relate to. Her eclectic style is a musical amalgamation of indie, pop, and gospel double-dipped in traditional American folk.
Soyu Sae has mastered many traditional folk instruments, as well as many modern instruments. She accompanies herself with an array of instruments including piano, harmonica, and synth. Highly skilled on both guitar and banjo, her songs are well constructed and artfully executed. Soyu Sae articulates her thoughts in beautifully crafted songs; drawing us into a lovely place where we find that for a time we are loved and understood.
