Dave
FM's "Call to Auction" a big success
On December 6-8, 2007, Atlanta Triple A
format WZGC Dave FM held its 3rd annual "Call to Auction" to
benefit Atlanta Habitat For Humanity. 100% of the money raised was
earmarked for their first townhouse project in the city of
Atlanta. Money was raised via musician donated items, and "pay to
play" song requests. Within hours, Soul Patrol members took
up a collection and ,"The Right Place" was played
at 6:17pm 12/6/07for a donation of $150.
Donations kept rolling in, resulting in
another donation of $185.70. "Soul Thing" was
requested and the song played
shortly after 9 pm on 12/7/07!
With the last incoming donations we
contributed another $75 and selected Marc Broussard's "Home"
from Dave FM's regular playlist. The song was played at 7:28 pm on
12/8/07
Thanks to all who donated! All together Soul Patrol For Charity raised
$410.70 for
Atlanta
Habitat for Humanity. Of top of that, $185.70 of SP4C's
collected donation was matched by Kaiser Permanente!
Thanks to all who donated and let's get ready for the next radio charity!
