SPACE FIGHT was born shortly after and began performing in London in 2010. This year, Space Fight secured a deal with Glasstone Records to release their self-titled debut EP, released March 14th to great reviews. What people are saying about us: "I dont think I can compare Space Fight to anyone... They're gonna be absolutely huge." - Billy Clark, ThisIsFakeDIY.co.uk radio. ----------- "Radio-friendly indie led by a frantic drum and bass beat. The bouncy low end and almost synthetic guitar tones make this prime remix-bait." - The Independent ----------- ANYWAY, it's not just the UK turning out quality music, those 'merican chappies can as well! .... Rather blummin' good! The band seem to be keeping rather good company as 22 has also been remixed by RAC, they're definitely doing something right! - My Band's Better Than Your Band ----------- "These guys have the pop thing nailed down well, lots of textures to the music and some great vocal harmonies in there too... a promising band." 8/10 - Sinister Angels Realm ----------- "That March release came loaded with melodies and a group tightness that made a mockery of the line ups fluctuating fortunes. Opener '22', with it's rickety drums and pop perfect backing harmonies, had the air of The Mystery Jets best work, though singer Spencer Miles soft New Jersey brogue could make comparisons with The Virgins just as apt. Indeed on 'Control' it seems Space Fight have another New York alumni in their sights; its choppy reggae verses and fret flailing outro guaranteeing it could quite happily slot in to The Strokes back catalogue without raising so much as an inquisitive glance. As good as those appetisers were the best of the bunch is saved for last in the shape of 'Into The Blind'; three and half minutes of sumptuous indie rock that shines effortlessly. Make no bones about it Space Fight have set the bar high for themselves, but while other bands might crash to earth this lot should be up amongst the stars in no time at all." - The Found of Confusion ----------- "Multiple guitar riffs, experimentation with rhythm and subtle vocal harmonies, give their sound texture and depth. By using only guitars and drums, they keep the overall sound relatively simple and easy to listen to, yet that addictive underlying complexity draws the listener in.... This is a very promising debut." - Sarah Paviour, Drunken Werewolf Magazine ----------- "Perhaps it's time to take off the diamante-encrusted sunglasses, look around, and ask: 'who the fuck is flying the flag for the other side of pop?' Space Fight, that's who. The London-based trio have taken on the forgotten, the edgier, the indie-er and the downright dirty side of pop... Their songs are energetic, excitable and geared up for gigging with rhythmic oohs and aahs that begs for crowd participation." - Live Music Scene ----------- "It's kind of hard not to be swept along with what I heard. It sounds upbeat but not in your face "queso style upbeat", just upbeat. The lead singer's voice quite nicely counterpoints this by having a bit of a melancholic tinge to it. I haven't heard too much of their stuff but like what I heard." - Dancing Robot Music ----------- "Terrific track!" - Tom Robinson, NowPlaying@6Music (there was more, but I forgot to write it down...) ----------- "Avant garde rhythms and classic guitar riffs, very very interesting indeed." - Charlie Ashcroft, Amazing Radio UK ----------- "...raw talent and detailed penmanship... catchy and pop-worthy!" 4/5 - Atlanta Indie Music Examiner ----------- "Good energy on the tracks makes for a good debut... Hope to hear more from these guys soon." - BBQ Chicken Robot ----------- "...some strange and mind warping subject matter... approaches Spiritualised territory, but is ultimately pretty unique..." - Bugbear Bookings ----------- FOR FULL REVIEWS OF THE E.P.
