The Spacemusic Podcast - it all started with this topic in the 'MACFAN' , somewhere at the beginning of 2005, about podcasting + an interview with Adam Curry. For us the first encounter with podcasting... The fact everybody was able to start a channel with audio and video content was something we had to read twice! Really? Wowwww. This threw us out of our chairs (correct English?) and we searched for a way to record a show: something we used to do since the age of 9 perhaps... This time more serious because there was an audience waiting now...The first couple of shows into Cubase Audio - mixing ambient and electronic music - some very crappy English came out of the mouth but... the result was so nice! February 2005: Spacemusic was officially launched via it's own podcast channel. Libsyn still is the great company offering an easy way to publish content via the feed and a great online interface to manage all content. These guys rock! 'Podcasting made easy'. You bet! Sonology concerts, soundseeing in the snow in Rotterdam, cooking in the kitchen, LIVE soundseeing from Cyprus, Sate Chicken Fly Away... and many more.
Ambient music became very popular again - via the Spacemusic Podcast lots of artists got Air Time. We started to promote (electronic) musicians by playing and mixing their tracks like cooking Italian dinner :-) Artists were selling albums again and got the attention from the public. Some of the musicians got excited after years of silence...they started to compose new tracks again! The result of the Spacemusic Podcast was that 'ambient' itself wasn't 'dead' at all, on the contrary, the genre was still going strong. Listeners heard new tracks by James Bernard, Off the Sky, The Circular Ruins, Sonarfreq, Elipsis1 and the feedback was overwhelming. The amount of podcast listeners grew and grew and grew...
Now, more than 2 years later, it's no longer a joke or an experiment. First of all, one thing didn't change: The love for good music. Electronic and acoustic music, lounge, chill-out, downtempo, spacemusic; the genres we play at his moment have a wider range, musicians and producers from many different avenues. New shows, new series, free downloads and charged shows for real "Die Hards". There's something interesting for everyone.
Spacemusic hosted by *TC* (1) is all about the first 18 months (The Libsyn feed) no more shows will be added via that feed anymore. Spacemusic hosted by *TC* (2) is "The Next Level" (The iStream feed) plenty of new series and shows, Senseo Sunday's, Fresh Air! series, Specials, Intermezzo's, Video's... your band?
All our episodes are published commercial-free as we like to keep them as long as possible. That's why we're not on Podshow...

Dear TC I hope you are well. I have been listening to Above and Beyond’s podcast lately and this is my offering of progressive trance (Midnight in Frankfurt)– as close as I can get while remaining authentic to my style. I thought you might like to hear and I would love to know what you think! Oh - and also a great guy from Germany made a music video of my track ‘Elements’ that I have posted too. Cheers, David
Dear TC, I hope you had a good holiday time. I have a new track called ‘Carnival’, that I want to show you. I think it’s a step forward with my sound, ambient melodic soundscapes with crisp breakbeat…hope you like it – and would love to hear your thoughts! Cheers, David
Every time that we listen or write music... play an instrument... dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... Something is healing inside...
When we share it with friends... Something is healing all over...
