A little bit of everything. Imagine what would happen if modern drums and old-skool techno had a drunken orgy with classical music and jazz. I like to think it sounds like that particular disturbing lovechild. Lots of red and vermillion.
SpacePirateCaine is a fictitious character created by, and is the extent of the musical "talent" of cartoonist Luke Rideout, a regular guy living between California and Japan who just likes breakbeats. The music is a far from spectacular, but it's intended to be at the very least listenable. The music is an amalgamation of Jazz, Funk, Breakbeats, Electronica and whatever else SPC can come up with.
The first album, "Themes for Deep Space" is a Work in Progress as of this writing, but close to completion.
All of SPC's music is composed using Reason and a lot of patience.
We're pleased to announce that Super8 & Tab will be joining the line-up for the Anjunabeats Volume Five launch party at Turnmills in London next Friday, May 25.
