Christopher Lem (Drums) and Gryphon Myers (Guitar, Strings, Bass), two friends originally from San Francisco, decided to combine the best of both worlds (Noe Valley and the Sunset District) in creating a revolutionary band that redefined Rock, Electronica, Latin, and Folk. Spacepod was born.
Their first breakthroughs, "Fight Song" and "Like it, Love it" rattled the quiet neighborhood of Grandview and Market as Lem and Myers both jammed their hearts out in a tiny condominium on the first floor of the building. Lem's neighbors being infuriated with the noise, they both layed low for a short while, quietly releasing other, more inadequate songs such as "Stoner Bag," and "Lectro Metro."
There was no need to turn the sound down any longer when Josh Graham, a keyboardist born and raised in Sonoma County signed a contract with Lem and Myers, who immediately moved to the North Bay. Not only was Josh Graham a keyboardist, but he did most of the management for Spacepod's financial affairs. Their first demo album, "When the Music is Singing," was independently released, but quickly became only an underground pleasure for eager listeners. However, one phone call and envelope to Capitol Records, and they were playing cards right into the mainstream: where they wanted to be. "When the Music was Singing," the single, was demanded at shows for the entire tour.
Busy with academics, the three two high school jam buddies have went their own ways for months. However, they have been conspiring as of late to release a new album, one that will permenantely set the standard for popular music.
