S.P.I.T. is comprised of a gang of futuristic ne're-do-wells who find themselves possessed by the ghosts of decades past. Formed with out of sheer distaste for modern music, especially what is referred to now as "hardcore music," the mission of our band is to reawaken the original spirit of hardcore music and breathe new life into the punk genre. Influenced heavily by punk groups from the seventies and eighties, as well as rock & roll from the fifties and sixties, and lots of drugs S.P.I.T. brings an explosive energy and fiercely original sound to today's punk scene. The breakout record "A Record" will surely go one to become a corner stone of the punk rock institution. Future records will build on the original genius of "A Record," and with each successive release the genre will be reborn. All of S.P.I.T.'s original recordings are set to be inscribed on a sold gold plaque and blasted into deep space on a Saturn rocket, with profile carvings of the band members, as well as galactic coordinates of Earth so that not only will Aliens be encouraged by the brilliance of Earth culture, but also with the hopes that S.P.I.T. may one day be able to return to their home time and planet, with all of Earth money and virgins.
