About me:
Hi my name is Jakob, mums from Iceland and dads english so they gave me that name. some people call me 'Yak' -I don't mind, as long as you don't call me too early in the morning.
My job on this earth (at the moment) is to help get peoples creative ideas off the ground by linking people together. I believe that everyone has a magic and unique talent which sometimes doesn't get appriciated or harnessed, so I like to try to introduce people to others who might be able to inpire one another and get a project on the go.
I have been mainly running Antenna Studios in Crystal Palace as a place people can use as a centre for meeting and working on their projects, which are mainly music related but also many visual artists, photographers, designers, producers, dancers, film makers, skaters....you name it!
As well as running the studio business I play cello in a few bands which are kinda quirky and dark. I also write/record my own electro space songs on the computer.
These days I spend as much time playing as possible and balancing that time up with fresh mountain air, countryside and nature. I love the mountains.
I am currently enrolled at the University of Sussex doing an experimental degree in 'Engineering for Society: Environment' which is REALLY interesting.. a mix of engineering skills and social sciences and life science.
My dream lifestyle if I was superman would be to develop wind farming technology, design lighting and atmospheric glows, be a park ranger in Iceland or Britain, fly one of those new moller sky cars, make a film about the world being run by computers, document haunted places, make candles and drink mulled wine, support a tour of the worlds best music venues worldwide, act on eastenders, own a bar, weld a car bonnet to something, decode alien signals and master talking to people without sounding like a total hippy.
Who I'd like to meet: nice people. I do not accept friend requests unless I have some kind of association with them. I love hearing about new bands and artists but prefer a message first...
We are finally ready to start promoting my 'I Surrender' single with my album, 'Ella Trip' coming right after -yey!! What d'ya think to the video teaser?
Please drop by my page & comment on the new 'I Surrender' remixes as well, I'd love to know what u think of all the newness!

Another DJ who recently also re-launched a strand of a global network ‘Balkan Beats London’, DJ Malaka will be blending traditional folk from Eastern Europe with pounding dance music. Add Popcorn Charly and Drusus Germanicus to the line up and you have a funk fuelled, world eclectic vibe of top class music to take you into the early hours.
