About me:
Once my friend wrote a self-summary for Match.com. It was pretty funny, plenty self-deprecating and so laden with descriptive nuggets that had I read it without knowing it's author, I would have known it was her. Upon the advent of MySpace, she was perusing profiles and stumbled across one she found intriguing. A man, who lived not too faraway, and whose interests and character was uncannily similar to her own. After a second glance at his MySpace profile, it was realized that he had plagiarized her entire biography from Match.com.
Go figure.
So, in light of that, forgive me if the following sounds a little generic:
I'm happy most of the time. When I'm not, watch out. I really don't need anymore emotional casualties.
Music is my comfort. The adult equivalent of a security blanket. Without it I feel naked and lost. It is one of the most important things to me. This should not be read as though I make music. I do not, just I do not make blankets. I just need and appreciate it.
Books, for most of my life, have been my best friends. Trying to incorporate real human social interaction into my life has made things difficult and awkward between us. We are currently working on our relationship. All is not lost, yet.
I have been accused of being both irreverent and overly sensitive. Just goes to show, you can't please everyone.
I will never censor myself. If I've offended you, please let me know how and why. Give me something to think about. Just know it will never shut me up, and it doesn't mean you've "won".
The personal is politcal. If you're not affected by what's going on politically, you're either not paying attention or you're doing something wrong. This is you're life we're talking about. Get informed.
I think that about wraps it up for now.
Who I'd like to meet:
A good debate. An honest politician. A selfless artist. A humble evangelical. A doctor who specializes in partial-birth abortion. Bigfoot, Chupacabra, or Loch Ness Monster, whomever is available.
