Spacewalk is a 3-year-old Alternative Rock band From Tehran/Iran Formed & Led By Singer/Songwriter & Composer Roozbeh Izadi."I'm not sure if it's a band at the moment but it will be soon again!"
The Band Was Formed In March 2006 When Roozbeh Was Spending The Last Year Of University.At This Time,He Invited Ahmad,His Former Musical Partner To Join Him To Form A Tight Rock Band Which Both Of Them Had Always Dreamt Of : A Rock Band With A Unique Sound.
In Early August 2008 , After Writing & Recording Several Songs & Performing Some Private Gigs,Ahmad Left The Band Because Of His Personal Problems & A Few Days Later,Roozbeh Won His First International Award :Spacewalk's First Written Song "Maybe Someday" Was Awarded As Finalist In "Song Of The Year" Songwriting Contest.
When Asked What Inspired The Song,Roozbeh Commented That :"maybe someday is just a beginning.it's about writing new,distinctive & at the same time catchy & popular songs.
alternative rock Will go on forever cause it lets a band do so."
Despite The Severe Problems,Restrictions & Difficulties Imposed By An Extremist Government,Roozbeh Has Written Several Songs & Recorded Some Of Them Mostly In His Home Studio."we'll keep on making & playing rock music even if it makes the totalitarian government angrier."
Spacewalk Has Also Submitted To Some Great International Music Festival & Participated In Some Of The Most Important Songwriting Contests In Europe & The States.
In February 2009,Spacewalk Released Its First EP "Your Rainbows After My Acid Rain" Independently & Besides Writing New Songs,It Has Decided To Get Some Permanent Members In The Not Too Distant Future.
Currently Roozbeh Is Concentrating On His Music Career While Hoping To Find Supporters For Spacewalk & Finally Get A Record Deal.("I really prefer indie Record Labels")
The Band's First EP is Now Available On iTunes, Rhapsody, AmazonMP3, Napster & other Digital Music Stores .
