Jeet Gupta schooled in Indian Classical Music since he was a child. He progressed to improvisation and fusion playing the 'Mohan Veena' (Sitar style modified steel slide guitar - zitar) with Musicians from various Genres including Jazz n Blues, Punk, RnB, HipHop, Dub, Rock, Metal and PsyTrance.
A graduate in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology he has a day job with a Multi-National Financial firm and works with Music Technology Group, Barcelona on Artificial Intelligence applications and research in Music.
Off late he has been learning Electronic Music Production and experimenting with fusion of Indian Classical with Electronic forms of music.
Project RaagaTronix fuses Indian Classical improvisations with PsyTrance, Ambient, Dub and Drum n Bass & other Electronic forms of music.
The instrument he plays is Mohan Veena, which is a sitar style modified steel slide gutar (played on the lap). He uses live sound processing from a LapTop for electronic effects to acoustic sounds.
