Painkiller (a.k.a Roy Engel) started his musical career at young age playing the piano
and drums with different bands and friends. With the rising of Electronic music in the 90..s he became really inspired and started to develop new beats. during his experiences he found the Cure between Full on and psychedelic trance, dancing, listening and translating his imagination into the Sequencer..
his tracks vary between 140 to 150 bpm, with sharp edition of computer technologies,
tight mix, dynamic grooves and fat bass lines.
in the tracks you can recognize musical elements connecting the trance music of these days
with instrumental and classic music from different times in the history such as Opera, Flamenco,
Rocknroll and more...
About 10 years ago, Roy started his first trance project together with Yonatan (bliss) + Dj Gil under the name "Shuff Puff" , later on joining forces with Nitsan, creating the Inner Action project.
arround 2004-5 Painkiller released first tracks in the Spanish based label Materia rec.
and Rocking on, with many world wide releases in well known labels in the scene.
2006, samy (cpu), nikka (mekkanikka) and Roy (painkiller) forming NUTEK team,
releasing a new cd , album or compilation, every few month.
in 2007 First Painkiller album "Brainwash", released on NUTEK rec.
together with a V/A compilation on 3Dvision rec.("Hardfloor" - Compiled by Painkiller),
double impact release coordinated by samy (cpu) and Christof (Absolum) with their big support.
few month later Roy compiled "Flamenco Mania" on NUTEK rec.
and a special Collaboration album (double cd) with Yonatan Bliss, under the name
A-Team (Bliss vs Painkiller in a new edition) .
between this and that, painkiller collaborated with many international artists
such as ; Azax Syndrom, Absolum, Cpu, Mekkanikka, Toxic, Slug,
Lost & Found, Insomnia, Switch, MadMaxx, Massive,MadNetic, Bio Genesis and more...
towards the end of 2008, Painkiller released his 2nd album "License to Heal",
ready to shake and brake and take you out there...
