Was listening to your new piece this afternoon. Spring has finally arrived here in NYC and I had all the windows open in my apartment. I'm fortunate to live on a tree-lined street--there are a surprising number of birds singing away out there. So, when "Ears Only" began playing, I didn't notice it right away. As it continued, the sounds blended perfectly with the sonic environment of my neighborhood. It was like the piece had been created for that specific moment. Perhaps you didn't have an accompaniment to a late afternoon in Brooklyn in mind when you composed this. Will listen again later--with the windows closed.
Have been listening to 'Restless' and Click . . . .great music - I really like the way you are not afraid to use strongly melodic material at the same time as writing music that is abstract expressionist - the combination works really well, especially in a theatrical setting - the whole piece looks very atmospheric and full of colour and intensity. I don't know what's going on as there is no synopsis for the libretto, but it looks captivating, claustraphobic and intense.
I admire your work a great deal and feel that you have a huge compositional talent!

tusen takk for ditt nye stykke: "Ears only". fugler velkommer meg inn i et spennende, mystisk landskap, mørkt men vennlig, hvor jeg møter skapninger jeg ikke visste eksisterte... men de vil meg godt, og følger meg trygt gjennom (skogen?) og ønsker meg god tur videre. det her synes jeg er et flott stykke musikk, som de andre du har laget. det ble en lang reise på kun ca.3:40 minutter...
