"The collaboration between Charlene McPherson and Mo Goldner began with an East Village bar flirtation that turned into a drunken slutty song fest. After that long wild night, a band was born. Lakeside Lounge owner Eric "Roscoe" Ambel heard that wildness in their first demo and booked them at his legendary East Village venue. Their gritty guitar riffs and soulful vocals enticed NYC audiences, driving them into the studio to record their first album.
"Dismissed With A Kiss" reveals the heartache of the working class fuck-up. Tales of a dog on Prozac, dreams interrupted by a job, and love gone damn wrong capture the pain of an unwanted existence. Each song vibrates with the angry humor of experience heavily influenced by a bluesy punk sound---the sound of those that have nothing but their dreams and perhaps an unremarkable reproductive organ or two.
No one said it would be easy, but if you spank rock on with Spanking Charlene, it sounds better when you get fired/dumped/ and or arrested.
Listen to the music and hum along to the rage."
"Dismissed With A Kiss" will be officially released in March 2007, it was produced by Eric "Roscoe" Ambel and recorded at Cowboy Technical Services in Williamsburg, NY.

Good to have you back! Played a few tracks from you cd at a party here last night...you guys are a hit at the Harmonie Club and may have a few strange faces in the crowd at Lakeside in the 16th! Wonders never cease!
Oh darlin...it is I that am honored...to have been witness to the magic that was that night, sure...but more to have been included in the circle that revolves around you...watching the growth...witnessing the rise...I will never be able to thank you enough! xoQuint
Excellent set last night you guys, the "Winnabego Wine Glass Hangover" notwithstanding! Sorry if I got too talky during the performance. Charlene, if I get to running my mouth too much just tell me to shut the fuck up...or you might try slapping me accross the mouth with the riding crop.
I see great things to come for "Cry Baby" That one definitely has legs...I can't wait to see it next time after ya'll sprinkle your special seasoning all over it!
