hello mate, hows everything? hope you dont mind my blatantly advertising a gig here. it is for charity! and i hope you will come along and enjoy my live electronica stuff. Dan PS- i'm on at 2pm, so get there early for the interesting stuff :D
Ah cool thanks! Thanks for re-finding me! Unfortunately not playing out as I don't really hvae the technology - i'm using a four hundred ton pc! If you do or you know anyone i'll sort you out some tunes if you want?
Loving the course at Brunel, my course is 'Composition' but I do some Sonic Arts modules. I like composing with the black dots too so this way I get the best of both. You're at Trinity aren't you? How you finding that? Great place to study - do you have Domonic Mercott and Alwyn Pritchard (unsure of spelling of both of their names) as composition tutors?
Not heard of what you compared the sound painting to - is that a track, artist or a band? Will have to check that out.
Can't wait to hear the new stuff you're doing, Sandy said he'd get hold of some more of your stuff for me.
I've probably told you this before but 'Home' is an awesome track! I often listen to it. It has certainly influenced my own music and my approach to sonic art composition
Ugh, it took that too when I added the thing to remove the blog part from my myspace. They could just make this so much simpler. Didn't notice until you said, but it's back now. Most of these will make it to Tengu- I'm going to make loads so I've got a couple of spare B-sidey thing for a demo or bonus ep or whatever.
I'm going to stick with FL because of its slicer but I reckon I'm going to get a hold of Logic as soon as I can, and that for its synths. I've been looking at Renoise too, which is pretty nifty and works really nicely, but I need to get my head around it a bit.
cheeyars matey. I'm going to keep onwriting new stuff and see what happens, so hopefully there should be new tracks up fairly regularly. Might pop home gain at some point in the next few weeks for a catch up. will see how it goes.
i can do slow! i'd be all about doing a vs track sometime, i think mixing our styles would sound really cool. also, i'd quite like to return an earlier favour and remix home sometime.
Also, just stuck yet another track up, whoop. I actually stuck it up two days ago, and it's only just appeared. myspace is shit
