Meet SPB

MEET THE BAND
Mike Lambert Lead Guitarist, Vocals
Mike started playing guitar at the age of 14. His greatest influences are Neal Schon, Alex Lifeson, Joe Perry, David Gilmour & Glen Campbell. Mike has a great ear for music and can play just about anything. He is a great songwriter and has written several songs which SPB is working on currently. Mike also plays guitar in the Praise and Worship band at CyFair Christian Church.
Linda Lambert-Lead Vocals
Linda started singing before she could walk. She has performed the National Anthem for Sam Houston Race Park, Houston Aeros hockey games and also for Pace Motor Sports in front of sold out audiences in the Houston Astrodome. She a top 10 Finalist for Houston Pride Idol in 2009. Linda also sings in the praise and worship band at CyFair Christian Church. She has a wide vocal range and loves to perform all types of music. Her influences include, Linda Ronstadt, Anne Wilson Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Sting, The Eagles, Journey, & Pat Benatar
Marco Yepez-Bass Guitar, Vocals.
Marco has played in many great Houston bands including Global Village. Music has always been important in his life. He began playing violin at age 6, trumpet at age 10, guitar at age 14 and bass at age 20! His influences include James Brown, Prince, SRV, Bernard Edwards and Louis Johnson. His favorite genre is New Age/Instrumental music. Marco has been with Spare Parts since October 1999 and adds that special funk that makes you want to get up and dance. He plays any style of music with soul, finesse and impeccable rhythm. Marco is married with two children. He is a "news junkie" and enjoys politics
Jeff Ball -Keyboard
Jeff’s musical career started at age 10 with percussion and flourished through college, performing with groups such as the (Grand Junction, Colorado) Centennial Band, the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, and the San Juan Symphony. In college, the jazz band needed a piano player and he figured he could fill in, and since that time, Jeff has focused his musical energy on keyboards and composition. Being a keyboard player, his musical influences include just about every pop band from the 80’s in addition to contemporary composers like Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland. Like most of the other band members, Jeff plays keyboard and piano for the praise and worship band at Cy-Fair Christian Church. Jeff is married and has two children
Dale Bankston-Drums, Vocals
Dale has played in many local Houston Bands and has many years of experience playing in front of audiences. He has finesse and can play many different styles of music. Dale has played the drums in CyFair Christian Church's worship team for over 12 years. Some of his influences include Stewart Copeland, Stevie Ray Vaughn & Led Zeppelin. Dale is married with two children
Dan Carpenter-Saxophone
Dan Has been been playing sax since he was 5 years old and professionally for sixteen years. He was hooked after his brother let him "honk out a few notes on his sax"- he knew he was hooked! Jazz, blues, R&B, rock & roll, funk...He loves it all and is a firm believer in the philosophy that music is best enjoyed in all its varieties, and that belief is very evident in his musical tastes.
